This is for my friend Jonathan.
For more than 15 years, Jonathan was part of my life. We shared microphones, a radio show, podcasts, conversations, adventures, laughter, disagreements, ideas, and experiences I never would have had without him. Along the way, we met people who changed our lives—and Jonathan changed mine.
He was one of the strongest and most outgoing people I have ever known. Jonathan could walk into a room and somehow the energy changed. People noticed him. They listened to him. But underneath that larger-than-life personality was someone who cared deeply about other people and so often put their needs ahead of his own.
Jonathan also had a story he wanted to tell.
He tried to begin it several times. Then, just a few months before we lost him, he finally started bringing that story to life.
He called it “Almost, Not Quite.”
People began coming together to help him tell it. There was so much more Jonathan wanted to say, so much more of his story that deserved to be heard, and so many more chapters that should have been written.
We thought there would be more time.
There wasn't.
So this song is not an attempt to finish Jonathan's story for him. That story belongs to Jonathan.
This is simply my part of it.
It's about what it meant to have him as my friend for 15 years. It's about the microphones we sat behind, the conversations we had, the people we met, the lives he touched, and all those ordinary moments that don't seem important until you'd give anything to have just one of them back.
Jonathan, I wish we had one more microphone, one more show, one more conversation, and one more adventure.
But most of all, I wish we had more time.
You may not have gotten to finish Almost, Not Quite the way you planned.
But you left your story in all of us.
And as long as the people who loved you keep telling their pieces of it, your story isn't finished.

This song is for a very special friend—a true guide who has spent years helping people find comfort, understanding, and sometimes even closure when someone they love has passed.
Her gift isn't limited to people. She has also helped those grieving beloved animals who were every bit as much a part of their family.
For many of us, death creates a silence. We still talk to the people and animals we've lost. We wonder where they are. We wonder if they can hear us. We look for little signs that somehow the connection we shared didn't simply disappear.
But every once in a while, there is someone who seems able to listen beyond that silence.
Someone who hears what the rest of us cannot.
This song is dedicated to a friend who has used that gift to help countless people—not by taking away their grief, but by helping them feel that love may reach farther than we understand.
The woman and the dog standing behind Jett in the artwork represent those who have gone before us. Their hands, paws, voices and physical presence may be gone, but the love and memories they left behind remain.
And sometimes, we are fortunate enough to meet someone who reminds us to keep listening.

This one isn’t a sign song or a business song. It’s personal.
I wrote The Ones Who Still Show Up for two very special people in my life—my Aunt Charlene and Uncle Ricky.
After my mother passed away, Charlene and Ricky were there for me. Not just with words, but through their actions, their time, their love, and all the things they have done for me over the years. Even though more than 500 miles separate us, every year they make that trip just to spend time with us and remain part of our lives.
Life changes. People get busy. Miles get longer, years pass, and sometimes the people we thought would always be there drift away.
But then there are the ones who don't.
They call. They make the trip. They sit at the table. They share the old memories and help create new ones. And when life gets difficult, they simply keep showing up.
Aunt Charlene and Uncle Ricky, this song is my way of saying thank you. Thank you for the miles you've traveled, the time you've given, the memories we've made, and most of all, for continuing to be there.
Some of the greatest gifts we receive in life aren't things at all.
They're the people who choose, year after year, to remain part of our lives.
They're the ones who still show up.
